The Christening Gown from All My Children

This is the christening gown that was ordered for the christening of "Bess Chandler" on All My Children,
May 28-June 2, 2004.

It is based on the Criswell gown with more lace and a fancier bodice/sleeve treatment.  Whiteworks was privileged to be asked to design this special gown for them.  The bodice featured a dove and ribbon embroidery design from Viking, designed by Martha Pullen Co.

Rose appliqués are on the sleeves, insertion lace makes a "V" shape on the sleeves and bodice, and the sleeves close with ribbon ties.  Made of the same superfine Swiss cotton batiste and French lace as the Criswell gown, it's three feet long with a matching bonnet and a slip embroidered with your baby's name, birth date and christening dates on the front.

Here is a close up of the front panel.

Lace appliqués are designed by Criswell, and are used with their kind permission.
