Knitted booties

I will gladly knit you a pair of booties in white acrylic yarn to go with your outfit.

$20.00 with the purchase of any christening outfit.

Here is a simpler pattern if you'd care to do it yourself:

Knitted booties for baby.  Size small (new born to 3 months or so)

Using a sport weight, baby yarn and size 3 knitting needles, cast on 24 stitches.

Knit 3 rows.

K2 P 2

P2 K2

P2 K2

Repeat these last 4 rows two more times.

K2tog, yo and repeat to end.  This is your beading row where the ribbon gets threaded.

P next row.

K8, *K1 P1* for 8 stitches, turn,*P1 K1* for the same 8.

Work in seed stitch pattern on these 8 stitches for 12 rows. (total)

Pick up 8 stitches along the edge of instep.  K across.  Turn.

Knit 24 stitches, then pick up 8 stitches along opposite edge of instep.

Work even in stockinet stitch** for 4 rows.  Or stick with garter stitch, knitting all stitches.

Dec for foot: K1 K2tog, K14, K2tog, K2, K2tog, K14, K2tog, K1.
