The New Celtic Collection!

$385.00

A complete christening set.  Everything in one package for you; gown, bonnet, slip, blanket and cape.

The Celtic Collection consists of:

  • A Celtic gown for your baby made of imported Irish handkerchief linen, embroidered with your choice of motifs, one on the bodice and up to 9 motifs around the skirt near the hem.  Short sleeves are edged in French lace, hem is edged in the same lace, and your gown closes in back with ribbon ties. A full 3 feet long.

  • A bonnet constructed of the same Irish linen, French lace frames Baby's face, and can be embroidered on the back with the same motif as the gown, or left plain if you prefer.

  • A separate full length slip made of imported Swiss cotton batiste, closing in back with buttons and hemmed with lace.  This may be embroidered with Baby's name and date, no extra charge.

  • A receiving blanket made of the same imported Irish handkerchief linen edged in elegant French lace to match your gown.  Let me put Baby's name on this, too!  You may, of course, substitute the linen blanket for the cotton flannel blanket.  It's white, soft, slightly warmer, and embroidered for you, too!  You choose.

And new this year, a cape made of soft wool challis OR Irish handkerchief linen that matches your gown.  It is fully lined with cotton batiste.  It is sleeveless, (no arm holes, just shoulder shaped), and has a lined hood edged in shamrock lace (designed by Criswell and used with their very kind permission).  This cape is 32 inches long and provides the finishing touch for a truly memorable family heirloom set.  Only available when the fabric is available, so you may want to ask.

Shown is the linen cape with shamrock lace shown below.

This whole set comes to you wrapped in acid-free tissue paper (so save it!) and includes preservation/cleaning suggestions as well as a small "thank you" gift.  The cost includes priority shipping in the US.  Ohio residents must pay tax... :(

Overnight mail Express shipments available for an extra $20.00 charge.  (FedEx is MUCH more expensive, but I'm happy to oblige.)

Please order well before your Baby's big day!  Embroidery takes a LOT of time as well as all the construction.  2 weeks would be nice, and more, if you can be certain of the size, is excellent!  Personalized gowns can not be returned.  Please consider putting Baby's name on the slip or blanket...I'm happy to add other babies' names and dates to your outfit for the cost of the return postage...for as long as I am here.
