Celtic embroidery

This is a sampling of the designs that can be embroidered on your Baby's christening outfit, all in white thread or in colors, it's entirely up to you.

First, the Celtic knot cross shown in blue with the gold sun behind and light green shamrocks beneath:

This cross is done in a Celtic knot style.  It is done by machine and is suitable for the front of the skirt. It is the most popular by far.
A slightly larger one is available in the exact style for a large statement at the front of the gown. Smaller one shown is perfect for bodice or back of hat, or indeed, anywhere!
It was digitized by Linda Rearick.  This is NOT a pattern for hand embroidery. (Some of you arrive at this page
using a search engine....sorry.)

It fits perfectly on the bodice without the shamrocks, too.

The hands and heart is lovely for a blanket!   Also, two doves, the blue trinity knot, fleur-de-lis, harp with woman, 4 knotted hearts.

Three new crosses, from Urban Threads, the fanciest knotted cross, a gothic cross with roses, and St. Brigid's cross with knotted circle.  Available in colors or all white (the roses will get lost I'm afraid.)  Click for a larger picture.

One-color tree of life, a very fancy trinity knot, trinity knots in a shamrock and the claddagh.

A two-color tree of life, a firey claddagh, 4 color triskel with knot, and a large tree of life with the triskel in the center.

PLEASE NOTE:

I do not embroider for a living.  Please don't send me your wedding gown, baby clothes or hats for embroidery.  There are many professionals that do that.  (Here's one:  http://www.sewusay.com
 They would love to help you.  I construct christening gowns, and I embroider them because it's fun and my little machine can do it.  Please don't ask me to embroider anything else for you.  :)   Please.  This really wears out a sewing machine!  That's probably why I can say I'm the best in this business because I'm the only one doing this.
