Embroidered Fonts for Monograms
Shown above is Martha Pullen's monogram font, designed to be used in the traditional way shown, last name initial in the center, fancier than the two others. With or without date. So Charles Patrick's monogram would look like this with his last name beginning with the letter "A". The center letter usually has flowers in it (shown below), but can be left off if you prefer, as shown above.
Other choices for a single initial
The letter "A" is a fancy floral font, the "M" is a very thin font for lack of a better term, the capital "R" in "Rose" is a rose font, with script lettering for the rest of the name. Little Anna Christine is written in script, but just above it is the word Delicate with the "D" in Balmoral font. The "C" is a Celtic monogram including the red knot and the "O" is a very ornate font. (Note that the designs are set on a grid. Each square represents 10 mm. So... 10 squares is roughly 4 inches.) IF Baby's name isn't too long it's possible to combine a small font with a large monogram initial for some lovely effects as shown with the "Rose" name above.
The following are the available fonts for full names on slips. They're much smaller so a whole name fits!
Or the script, which gets rather big with very long names:
Block is the one I use unless you request something different. Please note that these are as small as they come, so if Baby's name is quite long it may not all fit inside my embroidery hoop. I'll do my best, and let you know if you need to make another choice. Thanks for understanding.
