Oriental motifs

Oriental motifs in colors, pastels, or all white.  You choose:

The bamboo lamp (light) symbolizes a positive, beneficial energy and vitality.  Bamboo is a symbol of longevity, endurance and protection from negative elements.

The butterfly is a symbol of joy and eternal life.

The fish is a symbol of success and wealth.

The crane, a larger motif (see the composite) symbolizes longevity, honesty and justice.

The bat brings good luck.  They hang upside down and are therefore considered to be highly intelligent as they have the advantage of an entirely different perspective.

Daisies, or any flower, are symbols of love, vitality and happiness.

The dragon!  He symbolizes strength, protection, goodness, power and luck.  (Note, I collect dragon motifs, so I have many of them from which to choose.)

And here is a crouching dragon, all in white on white linen:

Perfectly suited to a bodice!

The moth symbolizes joy and eternal life, as does the butterfly.

The peony symbolizes wealth, honor, love and, when it flowers as above, great fortune.

The mum, or chrysanthemum, symbolizes happiness, laughter, and a life of comfort and ease.

All of the above symbolisms are quoted from the Criswell embroidery "Oriental Reflections" software.

MONOGRAMS

The Monogram font I use is Martha Pullen's floral block set. This set was designed to be used for the 3 initial monogram.  Very traditional with the last name initial larger in the center.

This monogram is 4 inches square.

A yin/yang tree of life design
